Watch Us Grow - New Website Coming Spring 2008!

Over the past couple years, local sustainability groups have been sprouting up all over Puget Sound, as neighbors join up to take action locally for the sake of our planet. In 2007 a few towns got together to compare notes, and ended up launching SCALLOPS - a consortium of “Sustainable Communities ALL Over Puget Sound.” From our 3 public Summits (Fremont Solstice's Sustainable Commons, Ballard's Sustainability Fair and Sustainable Cascadia's Cascadia Convergence), SCALLOPS has grown from a core group of 3 towns, then 6, to now over 60 towns. We venture to continue to meet to share successes, troubleshoot challenges, and get inspiration and ideas from each other. SCALLOPS is as much about resource sharing and education within our SCALLOPS family as we are a citizen's congress on sustainability within Puget Sound. JOIN US! Be a part of making your community more sustainable - connect with your local group, or learn how to start one!
